Sajek is situated in Rangamati District but if you are planning to travel from Dhaka then the easiest and convenient route will be through the Khagrachori district. To reach Khagrachari from Dhaka, your best option would be by bus, as there are many options of AC or Non-AC buses such as Hanif Paribahan, Saudia Paribahan Shanti Parbanah S Alam Eagle BRTC Saint Martin Relax Padhiban, etc
To get to this place easily, one should consider taking public transport which includes busses that offer both air-conditioned (Non-AC) and normal seats on board.
The distance from Khagrachari to Sajek is around 70 kilometers which will take you two hours of winding mountain roads. The best way to get your trip started off right is by reserving a Jeep/ Chander gari because the maze-like hilly roads are very wavy and without an expert chauffeur, it would be really difficult for anyone unfamiliar with these treacherous mountains. If you’re not comfortable driving yourself, don’t worry! As soon as you pass Dighinala (around 23 km away) watch out for army checkpoints where all tourists must submit their personal information due to security reasons before they can continue on towards Sajek.
