An amusement park with a lot of history.
Declared a World Heritage Site, Luna Park was opened in the 1930s but it has not operated continuously since then. The first closure of this theme park was in 1979 due to a fire in one of its main attractions, the Ghost Train. Part of the park had to be rebuilt, despite this the park closed twice more in the years 1988 and 1996 due to the lack of maintenance of the attractions and due to complaints from residents about noise pollution from an attraction.
Since 2004 Luna Park has finally managed to stay open so far and operating with full normality and safety. Only the attractions have a cost, the entrance to the park is free so you can access it whenever you want and take a leisurely walk or, for the more daring, get on one of its roller coasters.
